First Thanksgiving among other things.....
Hey everyone,
Connor had a wonderful Canadian Thanksgiving this past weekend. I will post some pictures soon. He also had a GREAT time visiting with Nana and Auntie Nancy. They got some great pictures of him and when I get copies I willpost them for you all.
Connor and I are in Canada right now because I have a cold. With Brian on nights it makes it hard for me to not look after Connor so I came up here so Mom and dad could help me and hopefully I can stay away from Connor as much as possible and keep him from getting this cold.
We also got a call from the peds department of NAS Whidbey this morning and Connor will be getting his first Synagis shot in 2 weeks. I don't know if you all remember Brian and I emailing about RSV but we are terrified of it. I don't quite know how to describe it other than a really bad cold but for preemie's especially ones born as early as Connor with as bad of lungs as Connor had/has it can be deadly. This shot is to help them fight it off if they do get RSV. So what does this mean for the Scharich clan??? Well for starters no more sitting in the regular pews for church, not as many visitors, people that do come over really need to make sure they are not sick or "coming down" with something, and I will be even stricter with the hand washing/sanitizing thing. Its only until May or so. Not too bad. Then Connor can be around other kids and stuff again. Small price to pay in order to make it through RSV season in my books. Pray that RSV does not find its way into our house.
Connor is heading off to Children's for a visit next week as well for Cardiology this time. They are just checking him because of me, nothing is going on that we can tell but just to be on the safe side we are getting him checked out. We will also get a weight then YIPEEE.
Last time I weighed Connor he was 11.5 pounds so we shall see what the scale at Childrens says..
Blessings to you all,
Ali
