Spoon feeding anyone????

Hey there,
Guess who took rice cereal (very watered down with his formula) by spoon today??? Connor of course!!!! he didn't quite get it at first but after a few tries he was catching on great. I made a 4 ounce bottle with rice in in it and then put it in a bowl and when Connor was tired of eating witht he spoon I just put it back in the bottle and there was just 2 ounces left. What a champ. I am hoping this is not beginners luck and he catches on to this spoon thing like he did the bottle thing. I wasn't even expecting him to entertain the thought of the spoon I just thought we would give it a try and see what happens. I took pictures but since I am in Canada I have no way of downloading them to post them so I will post them tomorrow when I go home. I have no idea when Connor will begin to try other foods other than rice cereal. We have a dr appt on the 25th and so I will ask then what he thinks. I am guessing nothing until after Christmas.

In other news Connor is getting much closer to laughing and sitting up. He pulls up on you to help him into the sitting position and then he can sit there for a bit holding on to you or you can prop him up against a pillow and he will sit for quite awhile. He can also sit in his stroller now without the car seat. He LOVES being able to look out and see everyone. He is getting to be a bit of a stinker when it comes to his bouncy chairs, he keeps trying to pull forward making the chair rock and so not only does he have to be strapped in but he now has to also have one of us with him because I am terrified he will tip the thing over! What a gret thing to worry about eh!!
